Paul Mashni, MBA, JD
With unyielding passion and stewardship, Paul Mashni has carefully built Professional Equity Management (PEM) from the ground up ― a venture he started in 1993 with one duplex in Michigan, to a sprawling, premium multifamily portfolio across the nation’s Sun Belt.
As Founder and CEO, Paul has not only laid the foundation for exponential growth, but he continues to drive a high-performance culture and commitment to operational excellence that exceeds industry standards. His dedication to his craft and people, coupled with astute financial and legal acumen, has enabled PEM to successfully navigate five market downturns while still delivering high returns.
Prior to forming PEM, Paul served as a consultant with Arthur Anderson, Price Waterhouse, and Sandy Corporation, where he helped guide enterprise-level organizations through complex change management with their software solutions. “Change” rings true across any industry ― especially multifamily investment ― and Paul has leveraged his background in finance, accounting, law, and real estate to continually identify new growth markets and keen opportunities for investment.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business in Finance from Michigan State University. He also has a juris doctor from Wayne State University in Michigan.
Outside of PEM, Paul is dedicated to his family, church, and greater community. He takes pride in mentorship and uses his diverse life experiences to coach other business leaders and rising stars.
